The Number One Bournemouth Concrete Company
When it comes to exceeding customer expectations, concrete supplier Direct Mini Mix are a cut above the rest. The main reason is our ability to mix concrete at our customers’ sites. The advantage here is that you won’t be left waiting for concrete to arrive from a central processing facility. As such, if you require additional concrete than what was originally ordered, we can get this mixed for you. Plus, we can make adjustments to your concrete on-site.
We have a mixer that can volumetrically proportion the raw materials and alter the mix and strength of the concrete so that it’s sufficient for your requirements. While many concrete companies resort to using a central batching plant, we handle everything at your site. Our setup involves feeding the aggregate from a conveyor belt into the hopper.
At a certain point, the cement and water are added and then fed into a 2.5–metre screw auger. This is situated at the rear of the lorry and can be extended to 5 metres if necessary. If you require your concrete mixture to go from wet to dry and then back to wet, this can be achieved at your site by Direct Mini Mix. Remember, you only need to provide us with a rough estimate for how much concrete you need. Because we mix at your site, we can always make more. And if you overestimate, we charge no part-load or disposal fees – you only ever pay for what you need.
We recognise how incredibly frustrating it can be to receive the wrong quantity of concrete. Rest assured that when you hire Direct Mini Mix, you’ll always receive the right quantity of concrete mixed to your specifications! That includes producing screed with fibres and retarder, which are fed through additive tanks attached to the side of the lorry. We can also produce foamed concrete. Foamed concrete is much lighter than normal concrete.
It has a lower density because of the presence of air bubbles, making it a great insulator. It’s also a very strong material despite this lower density. This makes it especially useful for applications, such as underfloor heating.
